Google Analytics Update to Organic Reports

Postby huzaifa » Fri Feb 10, 2012 1:39 pm

Its frustrating Google Mentioned this bug only after the switch.

Dont know if we noticed this -> if a URL contained the word “search” and a query parameter “q”, Google would attribute it to the search engine "search.com".

because of which visits from customized search engines with “search” in them to their default list of known search engines, for example

http://search.conduit.com
http://search-results.com
http://search.comcast.net
http://search.incredimail.com

would be attributed to "search.com".

here is a detailed report on the update
