Getting Keyword ranking position in Google Analytics

Postby christykunjumon » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:03 pm

Below is the setup by which we will get the ranking position of each keyword:

STEP 1:

Filter 1 : Extract Organic Ranking to Custom Field 1

Filter 1.JPG (32.25 KiB) Viewed 9556 times

Filter 2 : Extract Custom Field 1 to Campaign Term

The order of the filter must be same, i.e:

Extract Organic Ranking to Custom Field 1
Extract Custom Field 1 to Campaign Term

This can be done by clicking "Assign Filter Order"

The result will not be 100% accurate but then also we will get idea of rank of each keyword by which we are getting visit to site. I have implemented this & the result:

The ranking is shown corresponding to the keywords.
I believe this will be helpful in many ways.

Thanks!

Well Done Christy!!!!!!!!

I think this we can export in to an excel sheet & also use for reporting as well. Also i would like to omit the branded terms. This we can achieve by segmentation.
