I am officially a mobile phone geek who can't live without getting updated on the latest phones and the improvements happening. Now with it's ever increasing change and technology adoption i think it's very near that Netbooks may start getting replaced with Mobile Phones. Being in the thick of Internet Marketing, i couldn't help ignore one of the recent stat that i came across. Its related to Opera Mini usage. Opera Mini for those who are not aware is one of the leading web browsers being used in mobile phones. If recent stats from Opera are to be believed users using it has crossed 12 billion page-views, the user base alone has increased to a whopping 32 million.
Mostly the trends indicate social networking sites to be the major area of interest shown by mobile users. But search engines do figure in the TOP 5 ranking. I certainly believe as each month passes more people are get familiar browsing net via mobile and finding it easier.
