Power of OffPage Link Building

Postby DJ » Thu Jul 03, 2008 12:02 am

Just came across an interesting link building discovery that I thought I would share with all of you.

I just typed in the word "techwyse" into http://www.google.ca . One of the first results found was an inquiry with Kaspersky discussing the virus issue we are seeing on the web these days.

The subject of that thread was "techwyse". Thats it. Yet it made first page of Google.

This was posted on June 19th..

This just goes to show the power of leaving messages etc in forums. Its content. And we all know content is valuable online today!

Yes Daryl they are really powerful even lacking the benefit of clickable links from a recipient website. Links back to our websites are just one fact that shows how external importance score is computed. Even if there is no link nested in the comments made in the forum Google likes it to update its LSI and keep it current, quickly computes the co-occurrence ratios and synoymic net of the unique word appearing along with "Techwyse"

As Google has already identified Techwyse falls within the area of " Company , Brand and Product" every time Techwyse is queried it flags of QDF " query deserves freshness" to serve us interesting hotchpotch of diverse results.

Exactly Nitin! And LSI sees that the TechWyse name is listed on a relevant site and Google ends up liking it. Ofcourse the website also has to have a good reputation as well, which certainly helps in the rankings.
