Page Rank Sculpting

Postby oneelephantpickle » Tue Oct 07, 2008 2:26 pm

Picked up this fancy little name sometime back from one of the so called major gathering of SEO's in SMX last year. Its all about channeling link juice to your appropriate pages using the attribute rel=nofollow at the link level and no follow meta to control the link juice at page level.

Now these are my thoughts very open to discussion here. There is a raging consensus among SEO's to stop the flow of link juice to wiki. And my hands and legs are up in complete agreement.

I went through our blog and found that all our social badges like Digg, Reditt etc are being beneficiary of our hard earned page rank. Should we not begin to channelize the link juice flow to important pages of our website? We can display these badges but block them up with no follow so that there is greater concentration of PR juice flowing to our clients that we link to from our blog.
