Matt Cutts on Linking Guidelines: How Many Links on a Page?

There has been a rule of thumb for many years that you shouldn’t have more than 100 links per page. While the webmaster guidelines have changed to state that link should be keeping to a “reasonable number,” many webmasters still keep to the 100 links per page as a precaution.

Yes that is nice info. But I guess, if we give more links from a page the value of that particular page is going to be lost (that is, if more outgoing links, the value of the page goes down in terms on Google) - If the value of page goes down, the links from such page may not have more value even. :)
