Hosting on a shared IP affects SEO ! True / False

Unique IP or dedicated IP will prevent SEO from suffering if google blocks a particular IP. Multiple websites might be sharing this IP.
What do you say?

The chance of this happening is very low.
It could happen, but not enough that i would take issue with it

If you are about to buy a shared hosting, better check the alloted IP's
blacklist status with this tool!
