Optimal title tag length, considering all Crawlers??

Hi,
Wanted to share and ask something on title tag character length. The lengths of title seemed indexing now by the robots:- Google 56,Yahoo 72, Bing 65,and Ask about 69. The figures may not be that accurate but is a roundup.

While optimizing which number can we take as an ideal one for us. Read in some article like Google indexes upto a full meaningful word before its limit comes. But Yahoo counts upto max, ie 72 characters, inspite of the last word can be indexed full or not.

It seems like we can make the title with the most relevant keywords from the starting upto 60, thus feed the engines with the relevant ones at starting and quote upto 80 characters for they may also be indexed by the other crawlers than Google.

May i expect some experience shared on the matter..
