Copy is one of the most important aspects of onsite Search Engine Optimization. But with all the algorithm updates Google has pushed in recent years, a lot of the old tricks and best practices don’t work anymore. Moreover, it’s really hard to keep track of what does work.

In order to help you out, I teamed up with SEO Extraordinaire, Henrik Bondtofte and put together this infographic with 10 tips for writing content that ranks in 2013.

Fantastic infographic. Glad it was shared... all people in SEO and Content should review this. Especially liked #4 Google Tilde, #5 showing that top search results have over 2000 words and #8 about building community around your content!

Great infographic! Looks like it might have been a blog that was turned into an infographic.

I like what they said about long copy, but it's important to break that content up with pictures, videos, bullet points, diagrams, slideshares, etc. And of course good headings help.

This is definitely something I will be sending out to all of my content writers!

Thanks for sharing!

Great Infographic. Will share it with anyone who is writing their own content. I like point 7 and 8. Giving credible content that answers clients questions and sharing this information.

Those are fantastic tips for writers whose ultimate purpose is content marketing. It is vital to feed the users searches with quality content and it is must to make the writing as much as informative and the writings should win the heart of readers then only they may be encouraged to click any links that is placed on the article. I guess, it is recommended if we can have a call of action in the article itself that would be better even.
