Facebook launches Facebook Places for iphones

Facebook for iphone has been one of the most widely used application for iphones, today facebook has finally launched the Facebook Places wherein users will be able to "check in" at a list of places around them. They are backed by their seeming rivals Foursuare and Gowalla. Places will be available at - http://touch.facebook.com

'Facebook Places' will help you to update your location to the real world and helps to view where your friends are. So its a platform that will help you to physically get connected with your friends near your proximity. Initally it was launched in U.S., and then in Japan and UK. Canada becomes the fourth country to get Facebook’s check in feature.
