Hi all,
I compiled this paragraph to give you all more insight into what evergreen content is and how we can sell it for content writing.
Evergreen content is SEO content that is continually relevant and stays “fresh” for readers.
This content differs from content such as news-jacking. Where a news-jacked post may garner more traffic over the short-term, evergreen content is focused on long-term (search-based) traffic. A
piece of evergreen content will be just as relevant 2 years from now as it is today.
The term “evergreen” sounds familiar even to the non-marketing ear because evergreen trees (usually the pine or fir variety) are often used to decorate homes at Christmas. The evergreen tree is a symbol of perpetual life because they retain their leaves throughout the seasons, rather than shedding. Like the trees, evergreen content is considered sustainable and lasting.
(Some of this is copied text, so I am just putting it here to help define Evergreen Content).

Nice explanation Steve!
Steve is currently the office master of evergreen content. Four of his blogs post are the top viewed articles of the Rise to the Top blog.

Amazing! I think think the goal with Evergreen content is to write real, thought provoking content that people benefit from. I wrote one a long time ago (5 years) about trends in millenial consumption that still garners attention to this day...
