Hi Anthony, Glad to see your very first post. Looks like Ford is indeed focusing and might have pinned down what works very well.
Went to their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/FordExplorer

What I love is the ability for "a live wall Q&A with Mulally and Facebook chats with featured Ford employees."

How often can you get to meet with and chat with people who truly matter. Also, this adds a sense of belonging - you tend to feel that your ideas matter.

Look at the amount of comments they recd http://www.facebook.com/FordExplorer?v= ... 1693335697 - Not bad

I Love what they are doing. Hopefully they would publish their stats and the impact Social marketing had on their sales (revenue) soon. Also, Starbucks is really into taking Facebook to the next level as well.

Facebook has been pushing the boundaries of social networking as well as user expectations. They have been been rolling out fantastic new features that has taken the social interaction to another level, But I always thought that the relationship between Privacy and Facebook was always complicated :)
They were particularly weak when it comes to explaining their Privacy changes and it has always been a matter of concern. Its great to know that after numerous hacking incidents Facebook has finally learn't their lesson and are taking bold steps to prevent further mishaps.
