Help! My landing page sinks

Postby suresh.j » Thu Jun 12, 2008 10:13 am

Recently we heard the sinking sobs in several landing pages.
But we have not had a proper thinking on how we make landing pages.
This is an attempt to have a rethinking on what the client should
have taken as a check list for landing pages.

Avoid Multiple Goals

When you fish there are possibilities.
If you are angling, it is sport.
When you use nets it is professional.

The point is if you are angling, don't intend to make money.
And if you do, better change your tool unless
you are practicing to be the world champion of the sport.

What is true in fishing is true everywhere.
You should have a clear purpose for having the landing page in the first place.
It is a landing page, you might say, with the sole purpose to increase my revenue.
Here comes our fishing again.
What are the types of fish you intend to attract to your net?
If you have some knowledge of your business, you know what type gives you more money
And if you know that, you SHOULD know what attracts them PERIOD.

It is simple. know thyself. Know what you want and know your possible clients.
Okay? That done we move on.
