Hey all.
We've been keeping an eye on initial stats for Bing. Microsoft's new (or should I say newly re-branded) search engine.
Here are some initial visit stats. FYI - Currently Bing is a “referring source” in Google Analytics. I’m sure that Google will have it labeled correctly as search engine traffic soon.
Customer 1 - Had 27,202 visitors in the last month of which search sent 20,731, 81 came from Bing. =0.3%
Customer 2 - Had 10,438 visitors of which search sent 4386, 24 from Bing. = 0.5%
Customer 3 - Had 4,345 visits search sent 3611, 12 from Bing. = 0.3%
Traffic from Bing is showing lower bounce rate on most sites and a good conversion rate for a few customers. The reason the bounce rate seems to be an improvement over some search engine results is due to an ability to focus the search on exactly what the searcher is after prior to sending the visitor to the site.
