LSI Simply Explained

Postby Robert » Thu Oct 25, 2007 9:21 pm

I've casually mentioned it a few times here. LSI (latent symantic indexing) is at the core of effective SEO. Without the knowledge you are at a serious disadvantage when trying to tackle the 800lb gorilla. With it you can control your themes to tell a story to Google in a way where they listen.

I have tried my best to summarize it http://www.createonlinebusiness.com/wor ... explained/

Here's the way I see it

Basically LSI has just tripled your earnings if your are an SEO pro. But you must prove yourself to your client with a strategy than is search engine proven. There are no short cuts to LSI search engine marketing...tons of market drills theme and keyword research. Today's SEO clients are pretty savvy so your likely not going to pull the wool over a smart client's eye's.

LSI is an amazing anti-spam, dupe content sniffing algorithm that has made the searching populous a whole lot smarter. Many online businesses are noticing that client's are often more knowledgeable that they are in many case. We have LSI to thank for that!

Cheers,

J

Just thought I'd keep my stuff in one tidy spot about this LSI thang.

I keep having this re-occurring dream of murder. It bugs me, so I wanted to use it as a research topic. I started by querying Google "dream of murder". I spent about 2 hours researching various keyword tools, proven synonym finders etc. and now can provide profession dream interpretation. 8).

Seriously researchinig your marketing can be incredibly enlightening!

I just finished a tutorial on how to pepper your article submissions with LSI technology. At the bottom of the post there is a link to watch a video. It will be completed tonite. Some really interesting stuff in the occurrence matrix
that strongly impacts article writing and theme structure.

2 Wyseguys and a Siloed Website Q and A

Postby Robert » Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:29 am

Once upon a time there where 2 WyseGuys talking on MSN late at night for one and early in the morning for the other. One WyseGuy wanted to learn more about Silo website Building, while the other had a decent grasp on Silo Website Structuring:

Wyse Guy #1 said:
If the previous paths were visible
WyseGuy #1 said:
Which were named by the slugs?
WyseGuy #1 said:
That seems right
WyseGuy #1 said:
But the landing pages...
WyseGuy #1 said:
where this is <seosiloing>
WyseGuy #1 said:
Are not working
WyseGuy #1 said:
Going to sleep now, thanks for efforts.
WyseGuy #1 said:
I will check my email in the morning
WyseGuy #1 said:
Please let me know how it turns out
WyseGuy #1 said:
Ten

WyseGuy #2 says:
Hi Robert....
WyseGuy #2 says:
Are u busy?
WyseGuy #1 says:
Always...but never too busy
WyseGuy #2 says:
Okay... good news...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Tell me
WyseGuy #2 says:
The silo plug-in creator has mailed me a quick fix on request for the time being
WyseGuy #2 says:
He has said that he has emailed me...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Blog siloing?
WyseGuy #2 says:
I will pass it on to you as soon as am able to access the mail
WyseGuy #2 says:
Yes....
WyseGuy #1 says:
Very cool
WyseGuy #2 says:
All our passwords have been changed due to the Trojan threat....
WyseGuy #1 says:

WyseGuy #1 says:
Great, I left a post in Wyselabs about it
WyseGuy #2 says:
http://www.bruceclay.com/newsletter/0906/silos.html
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes
WyseGuy #1 says:
Nice read eh?
WyseGuy #2 says:
Please let me know if this is what silo is all about...
WyseGuy #2 says:
I was just reading through the net yesterday...
WyseGuy #2 says:
You will have to let me know if this is a nice read.... as you are the expert with silos...
WyseGuy #2 says:
Am just trying to catch it up
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes, Bruce Clay is very trustworthy
WyseGuy #1 says:
For any newer SEO
WyseGuy #1 says:
http://www.bruceclay.com/newsletter/vol ... tfive.html
WyseGuy #2 says:
Cool....
WyseGuy #1 says:
Is even a closer look at something I have tools for?
WyseGuy #1 says:
Measuring contents
WyseGuy #2 says:
I think I have almost understood it...
WyseGuy #1 says:
In LSI framework or...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Ready for this?
WyseGuy #2 says:
I will just do rough structure... and show it to you so tat you can confirm it....
WyseGuy #1 says:
Themed keyword clustering
WyseGuy #1 says:
http://www.createonlinebusiness.com/blu ... /step3.php
WyseGuy #1 says:
Scroll down
WyseGuy #1 says:
The red is the allowable link flow
WyseGuy #1 says:
Allot of siloing is strict linking policies
WyseGuy #1 says:
Whether it's virtual or siloed in structure
WyseGuy #1 says:
The blueprint at the top contains the wire frame skeleton of...
WyseGuy #1 says:
The entire site heavily "themed" in clusters of relevance
WyseGuy #1 says:
"Readers Digest Version"
WyseGuy #2 says:
hmmmmmmmmmmm
WyseGuy #1 says:
Lol
WyseGuy #2 says:
I think I will have to sit with you on one site...to completely understand the silo process....
WyseGuy #1 says:
Sure
WyseGuy #1 says:
You buy the beer
WyseGuy #2 says:
I think on hand practice is much more effective than reading and understanding
WyseGuy #1 says:
It is quite simple when you get it and nothing new
WyseGuy #1 says:
Siloing has been around for a long time
WyseGuy #2 says:
I was aware of the directory principle
WyseGuy #2 says:
Where you group all related content under one head... i.e. preferably a keyword
WyseGuy #1 says:
On the TechWyse server...
WyseGuy #1 says:
There is a live blueprint
WyseGuy #1 says:
With a silo graphic
WyseGuy #1 says:
For new TechWyse layout
WyseGuy #2 says:
Okay...
WyseGuy #1 says:
I don't have pass
WyseGuy #2 says:
Just to see if am getting this right...
WyseGuy #1 says:
So can’t tell you which directory
WyseGuy #2 says:
Suppose we have two directories...
WyseGuy #2 says:
SEO & Web design
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Finding harmonic balance
WyseGuy #1 says:
If you just study the drawing on the page
WyseGuy #2 says:
Seo has say 4 pages one landing page, one for optimization, social networking, backlines...
WyseGuy #1 says:
It is the key
WyseGuy #1 says:
If you can locate the one on the server
WyseGuy #2 says:
Okay...
WyseGuy #2 says:
I will try to find it...
WyseGuy #1 says:
It shows the organization in most logical (themed) sense
WyseGuy #1 says:
With siloed map
WyseGuy #1 says:
I forget what I named it.
WyseGuy #2 says:
Just a doubt... each directory/theme will have a landing page displaying all links in that them right
WyseGuy #1 says:
Something with "blueprint" in it
WyseGuy #1 says:
Exactly
WyseGuy #1 says:
In a folder in root
WyseGuy #2 says:
And suppose you have two themes seo and web design
WyseGuy #1 says:
That is what I am explaining
WyseGuy #2 says:
And there’s a common or related page in both that needs to be linked in each theme
WyseGuy #1 says:
It will make more sense if you can find image on server or give me UN and Pass
WyseGuy #1 says:
I'll find it
WyseGuy #1 says:
Then we can talk on same page
WyseGuy #2 says:
Rather than directly linking it you link to the corresponding landing page of the theme.
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes you are getting it now
WyseGuy #1 says:
Think of the SEO side like this...
WyseGuy #1 says:
You are enclosing the Gbot into a confined "themed" container...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Not allowing it outside of your theme
WyseGuy #1 says:
Articles keyword rich (LSI) content in each silo re-enforcing the landing page theme (parent theme keyword)
WyseGuy #2 says:
oka...
WyseGuy #2 says:
I now the basics... now just need to work on it.....
WyseGuy #1 says:
All silos I make come with complete spreadsheets also on server
WyseGuy #1 says:
Currently
WyseGuy #2 says:
Even though I didn’t know this is a concept.... I always supported the directory structure way where you group related content under one head...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes
WyseGuy #1 says:
So we are back to the basics
WyseGuy #2 says:
The only thing lacking was the landing pages.... and linking to the landing pages rather than direct page linking
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes and that is new SEO that I have tested on my small sites...
WyseGuy #1 says:
It takes about 3 months
WyseGuy #1 says:
For me
WyseGuy #2 says:
I will go through the TechWyse site silo...
WyseGuy #2 says:
Then I will just build a mockup site....
WyseGuy #2 says:
And we can go through it and see if I go everything right...
WyseGuy #2 says:
Got
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes, that sounds gr8...
WyseGuy #1 says:
I have software that I am trying to get DEEJ to get
WyseGuy #1 says:
It will auto silo and manage
WyseGuy #2 says:
ThemeZoom?
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes for data
WyseGuy #1 says:
And drill downs
WyseGuy #2 says:
I also came upon thematic which supports ThemeZoom
WyseGuy #1 says:
Yes
WyseGuy #1 says:
I think silo publisher is better to test with
WyseGuy #1 says:
Basically, you plug-in the blueprint shown on the earlier page
WyseGuy #2 says:
Okay...
WyseGuy #2 says:
there was one another site called semilogicpro
WyseGuy #1 says:
This one I have not heard of
WyseGuy #1 says:
They all will be similar...
WyseGuy #1 says:
But we must test for footprint
WyseGuy #1 says:
Patterns=no good
WyseGuy #2 says:
Ok
WyseGuy #1 says:
We must set up test zones for these tests
WyseGuy #1 says:
I think
WyseGuy #1 says:
I build my silos currently by hand
WyseGuy #2 says:

WyseGuy #1 says:
From CSV file
WyseGuy #1 says:
Including writing content from a "30 keyword base"
WyseGuy #1 says:
For each article
WyseGuy #2 says:
That’s quite a task...
WyseGuy #2 says:
I received the amyl from Eric for the seo siloing plug-in...
WyseGuy #2 says:
Unfortunately he attached the php file in the mail....
WyseGuy #2 says:
So out look sort of messed it up...
WyseGuy #1 says:
Awwwwwwe
WyseGuy #2 says:
I am going to send a mail to him requesting him to send it as a zip file...
WyseGuy #1 says:
We will find a way
WyseGuy #2 says:
I think he will do it as soon as he gets it....
WyseGuy #2 says:
He seems a nice fellow
WyseGuy #1 says:
Sounds good
WyseGuy #1 says:
Probably already on his site?
