New Tool for the website

Postby ckata » Fri Jan 19, 2007 4:09 pm

I thought of a new tool for the website. Anchor text is important for SEO but its difficult to see what keyphrases the site is saturated with, and if they have links to pages inside the site or out.

Here is what I propose. A tool that allows you to enter any URL and a comms seperated list of keyphrases.

Clicking submit causes the application to "crawl and index" the site. Then it parses all of the pages in the site finding all of the keyphrases in the list.

There are two kinds of reports:

1. Keyphrase density
- Shows you the number of times each phrase appears on the site, and the overall density against all readable text on the site.

- Drilling down on a phrase will show you all of the pages the phrase appears on and the number of times it appears on each page.

2. Mapping of Phrases
Choosing a phrase and then this report shows you a map of the key phrase on the highest page it appears on, and then the pages it links to (or does not link to), and so on. This way you can get a graphical view of the linked keyphrases through the site. External links would appear in a different color.

The more robust this web of link keyphrases is the better their SEO will be! We should strive to have a rich keyphrase web for the top 10 phrases!

What do you think?

Cheers
