Remembrance Day 2008 - I remember when...

I wanted to dedicate this space as a new age Remembrance day post. While we should all remember our fallen soldiers on this fine day, what about those wonderful things we remember about the internet back in the 90's when the internet was still young.

I remember Napster,
I remember when people actually used AltaVista,
I remember when Meta Tags actually meant a lot.
I remember 14.4 modems and BBS boards
I remember Netscape
I remember the Google Dance

Rest in Peace. do you have any memories of days gone by?

I remember chat rooms
I remember when telephone land lines were tied up EVERY time you went on the internet
I remember AOL
I remember Kaaza - like napster
I remember our old sweet sweet, blue, beautiful TechWyse website :D - check out the screen shot below for those of you who were not with us then!

Me for sure got a bit nostalgic reading your post! A time there was when I used Napster to freely download my favorite albums fresh off the shelves and Altavista was the only search engine I knew. Good old times they were. Safe, sweet memories they are.
