How Much Should You Budget for a Quality Website?

Postby jotalora » Wed Jan 16, 2013 2:38 pm

Hello everyone,

I came across this solid article:

The cost of website design and development mostly depends upon the requirements of the owner. The cost might vary from company to company depending upon the reputation and expertise of the company.

However, it is possible to get a decent enough website in a budget but those business owners who are looking for more, must be ready to shell out a larger sum as it is a fact that better the quality, higher would be the cost.

The factors that go into making the website hold much importance in determining the cost of the website. The foremost of these is the requirement of the website. The cost of the website would depend upon the features that it would have.

------ ----- ----

Basic websites: $1000 – $2000
Custom website: $2500 – $7500
Content Management System: $3000 – $8500+

A website that requires complete CMS integration would be ready at a price of $3000 to $8500+ depending upon the level of customization required. These websites would be designed with appearance and functionality at its best.

While there are alternatives to get the websites done at cheaper rates, it is not advisable to do so as cheaper is not always better. The drawback of getting work done by cheaper alternatives is that the quality is definitely going to be poor.
