Not sure i agree with #1. There's not many sites where a search box is important.

And in a way it kind of goes hand in hand with #8, poor navigation. If navigation is organized, then a search box is not even necessary

Developing a huge, all flash site which takes 2 minutes to load.

Only 1 time out of 50 will I actually wait for them... otherwise, I'm outta there!
