Adjusting WordPress Gallery Thumbnail Image Crop

When we upload an image into WordPress media library , WordPress just crops from the center which can be fine but not what we needed, here is how you can fix the thumbnail crop problem, please go through the link :

Hi there
Thanks for your sharing.I have viewed this link.It turns out to be a powerful one as an image thumbnail program.I usually thumbnail the image using another image program:

But it can not work any more recently.So i am planning get a new one.I want to know that if it's possible for this to thumbnail or crop the image offline?Thanks for any suggestion
