Improved indexing of flash designs

How much search engines(Google) is improved in indexing Flash designs?

Flash designs are still a ‘non-reachable indexing territory’ to search engines. Until recently flash traits are considered as ‘un-google’ feature with websites. But Google has recently announced that its search engine has improved the ability of indexing Adobe flash files. That improvement has just plugged one or two holes, much more is remain unplugged. What does that improvement really meant? Why flash sites are not crawled?
