SEO Market Saturation – A New Emerging Service?

Recently I have been consciously taking notice of something I would like to call SEO Market Saturation. Before I delve into what this term means to me and how we might profit from it, I will provide a case study problem and you will naturally be able to come to a conclusion as to how we can profit from solving this challenge.

Historically, it has been proven that until an invention was created, there was no need for it. Only after the invention was made did the laggards come to grips with its necessity. It takes vision and market understanding as to what a potential need is, and how to supply the future demand.

The challenge that I see is market reputation, and how to uphold it and how to defend it from attack. This is where SEO Market Saturation comes in, and this is where I believe the marketing industry is leading.

Concept Case Study: Alarm Force
Alarm Force spends millions of dollars dedicated to advertising, yet out of this budget they dedicate under $20,000 a month on Internet Marketing.

Interestingly, when one types in Alarm Force or Joel Matlin in any search engine, the results are far from flattering. Let’s examine this list in detail:

Google search: Alarm Force
Results:

1. Alarm Force Website

2. CBC Marketplace: Break-In! A short article called: Alarm systems: How effective are they? This article illustrates how Alarm Force did not provide the quality service they claim to offer. Furthermore, the article states that “Alarm Force wouldn't agree to an interview with Marketplace,” after a client’s home was robbed twice.

3. Spiffle! - AlarmForce! Enough! Daily Rantings: Alarm Force! Enough!
“Okay... Folks who live in the Vancouver region, and those who listen to the radio have no doubt heard the "Alarm Force" radio spots. Dude talking, then the shouting voice "This is the ALARM FORCE SENTRY! IDENTIFY YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY!!"...
I friggin' hate those commercials.”

4. Toronto Home Security - Canada National Security vs Chubb, Alarm ...
Why Canada National Security?
Canada National Security and Communications Inc. offers distinct advantages for you compared to some of our competitors like Alarm Force, Counter Force and Chubb Security. We are an authorized ADT dealer.

5. Toronto Home Alarm -
Alarm Force, Voxcom, ADT Comparison
Today I'm in a relatively relaxed, peaceful and neutral mood blogging this interesting comparison.
Let's start:
Alarm Force: They are not new (since 1998) but their wind is blowing hard. Their president's image and voice are all over the market. His name is Joel Matlin. I'm contented to see Joel has his stage in some way.
5.b A link from this page to number 3 (Daily Rantings)

6. ADT Safewatch CellGuard - Digital Forums
Marketplace recently did a survey on security alarms and most burglers are in/out in a few minutes, long before the home security patrol shows up. Alarm Force was apparently one of the worst with very long times to show up. I guess they expect to scare burglars away with that deep voice...

Similar examples can found for Joe Matlin. This problem for our client is an opportunity for our company. As Alarm Force’s only internet Marketing company it is both our responsibility and our advantage to offer SEO Market Saturation. If by now you haven’t clued in to what I am proposing, let me provide you with my vision.

How much more revenue can we generate if TechWyse offered a service that saturated the Search Engines with blogs, consumer reviews, dedicated fan sites of both our clients’ and our clients’ key members? The numbers could easily be in the tens of thousands. It is important for clients to be found for their key phrases. What is more important is to be found for their company name and brand. What can hinder sales for our clients is unflattering sites attacking them. This is the problem we can solve.

This is something that I have been thinking about for some time now and would love to get some input. I truly believe that there is a lot of money that can be made for this service!

Good ideas

Khalid -
Great thoughts and very well put together. I have been tracking along a similar line for a few weeks now also and how we could put something like that together. The issue is man power and time but both could be solved by TechWyse Intl. The other "up hill battle" is if a client will perceive value out of that concept before it is proven to work. How much would we charge for such a thing? We would probably need some sort of copy writing expertise in addition to setting up new blogs etc. The potential backlash a company like AlarmForce could face if it ever surfaced that they were "manufacturing" good content and praise for their business could be detrimental for them and us also - thus this business idea would have to be very carefully planned out and executed. That being said... I like it, a lot!

Great critical thinking Khalid!

Your idea is one that closely resembles a "NEW AGE" PR firm. The important thing to note about PR and what you are suggesting is that the comments need to be real. We cant just load blogs with SPAM and items that to technical minds are easily detected for SEO reasons.

I think Adam echoes this. If we are not mindful of using good quality and we get lazy then on a big compamy like AF it could be a disaster and even worse for us!

I do think you have brought up a few good ideas though. Type in "ONEUPWEB" on Google and you will see how they have achieved good rankings thorugh good PR. This means --- getting mentioned on PR and marketing sites, award submissions and general buzz about the company. That is what TECHWYSE needs and any big client like AF.

This is also what I mean about a new age PR Firm! I would welcome more discussion about this and also someone taking a lead piloting this with TechWyse! What do you all think?

One other item brought up for discussion with AF --- well I only heard a bit of it from Chris but it involved submitting the video ad to google video (and other sites like this) and getting them noticed. The problem ofcourse is that we would need to figure out how to do this and create a win for us! As their IM company we NEED to bring value to clients. Perhaps we need a team to understand the full value proposition heere and try to package it.

Waht does everyone think? :)

I would love to take a lead on this! I've already been buzzing around the office about this.

Maybe we can get together and brainstorm?

I thnk that this is likely something suited for someone like Adam or Stephanie to LEAD. They would need support on this but the framework needs to be built by someone.
