Let us embed PDF files and PowerPoint presentations in a web page using google docs

Dont think it has cross browser support. Also lately google apps is having some issues with the network, bandwidth and multiple downtimes.
Not sure if documents are safe in google anymore.
Don't quite understand how this would help much unless offcourse it might be a boon for guys not so internet savvy. Maybe using this feature on a plain html file or on google pages maybe. Lots to think on. But not gaga on this this one. What do others think?
