, the "computational knowledge engine" is now online. The tool is the product of Harvard scientist who is also the creator of Mathematica computational software. The launch has been much awaited and widely discussed about with questions being asked if it would be the Google Killer the world is waiting for. But the tool is not exactly a search engine, rather its a knowledge engine which generates output by doing computations from its own internal knowledge base, instead of searching the web and returning links. Hence it just won't dethrone Google from the daily life of netizens but with its computational abilities, Wolfram Alpha could lead to new types of questions, answers and computations that today's search engines can't handle.
