A client approaches you and throws you the catch word - Brand my company!
How do you go about branding the company? What can an SEO company do or not do, to maintain the client's brand? What are your ideas? Why is it important to brand the company?
Please comment.

Thanks for your insights Latha.
I feel branding of a company is not limited to optimizing the site but also how client handles the leads, the quality of service and products they provide, customer service etc. As social media is growing fast and if dissatisfied customer provide bad reviews then there is no use even if site is optimized well. So it's the combined effort of how the company is managed as well as how the SEO is done.

Thanks Latha and Jay for expressing your views on Branding a company. So how much time it takes actually to brand a company? 3 - 9 months or one year? It may vary upon the company but even then ...
As branding a company is not just limited to SEO and it also includes process change in the company it will definitely take quite amount of time.
It's not just about branding a company is important but maintain the brand afterward too otherwise the money invested will be lost altogether. So needs to have a thorough plan to go ahead.
