Can Tumblr cash in as the new Micro/Macro blogging tool?

I happened to came across this new blogging platform called Tumblr and unlike the dozed twitter / facebook clones propping up this one seemed to catch my full attention. the feature to go by were just too good to resist. On paper everything looks rosy and seems like its going to win masses I will definitely use this before i recommend it to others. But if you are as interested as i am give it a shot.

I have been using tumblr for quite some time, it can definitely give you a good micro blogging experience, its super easy to use and it has got some of the best looking templates that is available in the blogosphere. But I personally think that it’s more about sharing your videos, images/multimedia than blogging.
Tumblr has its con’s as well i.e. If you are using it an SMM tool: it has no stats, no commenting options or tag searching /widgets and it has zero Google juice.
