Windows 8 Release Preview

It's Windows reimagined and reinvented from a solid core of Windows 7 speed and reliability. It's an all-new touch interface. It's a new Windows for new devices. And it's easy to try now—whether you're installing it for the first time, or moving from Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

That is a great news.

Does this also requires anti virus as a must? Or the OS itself would be having trustable shield?

Microsoft provide a Firewall of it own. I think this one is much better than previous version's which were included in windows 7.

Yes, i think even while using Windows 7, i have not seen much alerts from Kaspersky. So may be we can get rid of anti-virus softwares when installed Windows 8 - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/06/21/win8_security/

Well, firewall is there right from the earlier versions but of very less use. Every windows OS required a separate anti virus software as a necessasity in order to be there in the safer side until Windows 7. So it would be good if the new OS has its own protection.
