Old browser are holding back the web

Postby beniston » Tue Jul 10, 2012 10:45 pm

This is an interesting article for all who use the web.

Some Interesting sub topics are
* Why Is The Old Browser Problem Such A Big Deal?
* WHAT ABOUT IE9?
* Is IE[x] The New IE6?
* DISPLAY A MESSAGE TO USERS ON OLD BROWSERS

If all the websites agree to display some message like this, then the web would grow more faster than ever

IE provide no auto-update, when all the other popular browsers release latest versions in quick successions. So as months passes by IE becomes obsolete, even IE 9.

Yet another article on old browsers.

Some highlights below:
- WHAT DOES EXPERTS MEAN WHEN THEY SAY OLD BROWSERS?
- OLD BROWSERS ARE SLOW AND MORE LIKELY TO CRASH
- OLD BROWSERS CAN’T DISPLAY MANY NEW WEBSITES
- WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED NEW BROWSERS?
- WHY ARE NEW BROWSERS BETTER? Less crashing, more secured, most faster, larger view area, lots of addons, runs in Windows XP, auto updatable
