Google Analytics deals with a vast sea of information and one can be often left guessing without a proper grasp of all the data on offer. Obviously there is lot to learn and understand but the good thing is that there are lots of online classrooms for it. .

I like this Asha.... there are a ton of resources out there. Avinash's blog is probably the top read analytics resource but missed off Lunametric's list, see http://www.kaushik.net/avinash.

Also IMO opinion Brian Clifton's book is not dated at all... there are a lot of excellent tips in there!
