Postby DJ » Tue Feb 15, 2011 10:33 pm

This is a fantastic and detailed article about keyword research. I suggest anyone in SEO to read this as it really sets the stage for how to do things right in keyword research.

Love it!!

Awesome!! I have to read it a few more times for it to really sink in. We have actually been doing that in Techwyse. Our on page is superior to any Internet Marketing company and we have proof.

We should be using http://mergewords.com/ in our on - page keyword refinement process, at present we are using excel spreadsheets, but coupling it with this would makes things move quicker.

Lets get down to why our on page is the best.

What most of you do now know is that we have an unbeatable on page process here at Techwyse. Here is how we are different from our competitors:

1. When our staff performs On Page Optimization we go the extra mile, we do whatever it takes to make the site SEO ready

2. We have an intensive keyword research process in place - super intensive, super targeted and we keep most of the things mentioned in this article in mind (categorizing, focusing)

3. We give preference and take into account the keywords the client wants - which is tough at times because some keywords are too competitive, or have no search volume. But we do understand that the client knows what is best for his business, after all it is his child and we have learnt to leverage on that

4. We are constantly looking for new ways to refine the process

Proof:

The recent google algorithm change as pointed out by Mahesha and Elan, made me have sleepless nights. For the love of me, I couldn't understand, what and how can all our sites show an increase in traffic by 30% or more. Some sites have shown an increase in traffic which would make other SEO companies faint :)

So what happened?

What did we do which made this magic happen?

Then it struck me.

We did everything right.

1. We took pains to understand the client requirements

2. Our design team has a great system in place. We have taken Website design to the next level. At Techwyse, designing a website is a science. We are not mechanical, but we have the best ingredients which a successful and converting website should and must have.

3. We do not design just any website. We understand what a client wants, we understand what his customers want and we come up with a design which puts these together in the most synergistic way possible.

4. We design sites which convert. Period.

5. Once we have the best designed site in place, we move on to optimize it. Our programming team applies it's magic on the site. They have perfected the art of converting the website into a site which is super friendly, has all functionalities and MOST importantly is SEO Ready.

6. That's when we optimize the site, with the right keywords, the right content, the right contextual links. Yes, all SEO companies do that!! But we stand apart because we do it right. We use ONLY white hat techniques. We never stuff a site with keyword, we never manipulate ANYTHINg on the site, just to make it rank better temporarily. Just like Matt Cutts mentioned in some article - "Google is not after short term gains". At Techwyse too we are never looking to make the quick buck. We never do anything which will jeopardize the life of a site or a business. Sometimes things look slow, but then it's better than the short term spikes like JCPenny had which lasted only 4 months or less.

Rewards:
The recent algorithm change pushed all our sites up. We have gained a lot by being ethical. We have shown what a great team can do.

Here I would like to mention my notes on Latha's great thinking and understanding of all the elements which actually brought success in terms of visits. Yes Latha, development and marketing is like a good recipe for a tasty food. There are a lot of elements which need to be incorporated proportionately. Only then the final taste or result will come. Here google is the person who tasted our products with his new algorithm and he likes the taste and that is why we are seeing a lot of increase in visits. The only new things we recently applied are SMM and Off page so the recipe is now filled with the missing elements. We have a good and evolving strategy for understanding requirements, designing, coding, optimizing the pages for search engines to identify, and now we have begun with Off page promotion as well. A great team and teamwork. And of course our On page strategy has improved in a greater extent recently in terms of review and revisions by the experts.

HaHaHa

Love your comparison to food.

It's as basic as it gets.

As you rightly mentioned our offpage team has implemented strategies which are so covert, it would make other SEO companies jealous :)

I am also very very impressed by our programming staff. They come in, work their behinds off and develop sites which are mind blowing. I have never seen such dedication to detail, innovation and their desire to do new things is contagious.

Like the Facebook plugin code recently posted by royvipin
viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2399 it is so neat.

It is simple, but when the team at techwyse says it works, you can bet your top dollar, it works. They are so thorough. It might also be due to the PMs like you and Jency who put in the late hrs scrutinizing everything or the efforts of the QA team, who never let anything slip by. Which is a pain in a** at times, but that's how we can make things better, so got to live with it.

The QA is like the moral police, you hate em but you can't live without em. They make things work and make things happen. God am I glad I am not into that :)
